Artist's Description

I painted this eagle after visiting Alert Bay in BC. When I spotted him, he was defending his catch from a bunch of crows who were pestering him and trying to share in his meal. I wanted to capture that bit of possessiveness and the feel of him defending his catch. I debated painting the crows in but decided to let him stand alone in the end.
